Flight training is amazing and dream of many, be it to become a commercial pilot or a hobby pilot, we aspire to explore the vertical dimension of nature.

Essentials for a flight training infrastructure include Aircraft, instructor, airfield, and supportive ecosystem that allows you learn fearlessly while remaining within safety envelope. Quality of each aspect mentioned herein is important to become a full-fledged Aviator. Almost all countries offer flight training centers with similar aircraft; however, few countries or locations offer perfect blend of all aspects alongside some additional features.

New Zealand is one such destination that offers top class flight training options. Particularly, Auckland being the largest city in New Zealand, offers qualitative flight training. Auckland Pilot training is a perfect avenue for flight training for international students. Auckland Pilot training group (APT) includes two flight training organizations i.e.

a. Auckland International Pilot Academy (AIPA) is deeply rooted in a legacy that spans over six decades. AIPA parent company is North Shore Aero Club (NSAC). NSAC has been nurturing pilots since 1963, and it’s where our story began. Beyond our impressive pedigree, NSAC proudly owns and operates the historic North Shore Airport, a bastion of aviation that first buzzed with aircraft as early as the late 1950s.

Joining AIPA means becoming an integral member of the NSAC family, where the spirit of camaraderie runs deep. Our vibrant community thrives on events, trips, competitions, and outings, perfect for those who value fun as a vital part of their learning journey.

b. Ardmore flying school: Ardmore Airport was established in 1943 at the request of the US Airforce as an operational base during WWII. Although construction was not completed until 1945, the Airport served as an important base for training New Zealand pilots for action in the Pacific, and as a training centre for returning servicemen, as part of the demobilisation effort after the war.

Auckland Aero Club moved to Ardmore to make way for the development of Auckland International Airport, which opened for operations in 1965. It was during this period that the use of Ardmore Airport as a general aviation facility blossomed. As a training centre for the aviation industry, Ardmore Flying School is second to none. More than 130 students from New Zealand and around the world undergo their training at Ardmore Flying School each year, most spending 18 months living in and around the local districts.

Both flight schools carry a rich history and seasoned instructors from them make you a world class Pilots with acceptance around the world. Learn to fly in New Zealand and make memories for life time.
